Auralex DIY Acoustic Frame

In any recording studio, good acoustics are a must. In the control room, your studio monitors need to be able to deliver the most neutral audio image possible, so if they're competing with sound waves bouncing between flat and smooth walls, they don't stand much of a chance. Luckily, absorber panels are available in a myriad of shapes and sizes and can be installed to help solve acoustic issues, but what about tailor-made absorbers built to meet the specs of your space? Enter the Auralex DIY Acoustic Frame: a wooden frame that's specifically designed to form the base of a fully customised absorber panel for studio spaces. Pack it with the fibreglass wool or rock wool you can get at pretty much any big DIY shop and cover it in a cloth of your choosing to complete a neat absorber panel that's made-to-measure for your studio. This panel is 2 foot wide and 4 foot long (60cm x 120cm) and is 10cm deep.

Note that this is a build pack including the wooden parts and materials required to build a wooden frame and not a complete absorber panel. As such, the absorber panel will need to be assembled yourself by packing in absorbing material and stretching a cloth over the frame before stapling it in place.
